Not sure what to expect with lash extensions? We've curated a list of FAQ to help you feel more comfortable and ready to get your lash on!
How long does the treatment take?
For first time clients or those getting a full set of lashes, you can expect the treatment to take about 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the amount of lashes that can be applied to your natural lashes. For those getting a touch-up, the treatment will be between 45 min - 1 hour.
When is the best time to get lash extensions?
Anytime is a good time especially for first time clients! Regardless of whether or not you've had lash extensions before, Linda will determine which lash type will best enhance your natural look while not damaging or weighing down your natural lashes.
How do I know which length or curl type of lashes are a better fit for me?
Every client has their own preference for the length and the curl type of the lash. For first time clients, Linda will have a quick consultation session prior to the treatment to discuss the type of look you want (e.g. glam, natural, exotic).
What is the difference between mink and silk lashes?
Mink lashes are the lightest, the most comfortable and similar to natural lashes with a little extra thickness. Depending on the type of look you want, mink is better for doubling up. If you want a more cost effective alternative, silk is your best bet. It's definitely more durable and gives more structure to your lash shape. It's not recommended to double up with silk unless your natural lashes are already thick to begin with.
How often do I need to touch-up my lashes?
Depending on each client, some like to get touched up every week while others go 2 weeks in between each touch-up. It's a matter of preference of how full you want your lashes.
Does the lash application hurt? Will I feel any kind of discomfort during the treatment and/or after?
For most clients, the application process is fairly easy and comfortable. Some clients are so comfortable they snooze off. If you do feel any discomfort, it may be related to some allergic reaction to the glue or the type of lash, which can be immediately addressed during the treatment.
After the lash application, there should be no discomfort. You may not be used to the lashes on your eyes, but that feeling will subside pretty quickly. Most first time clients typically do not notice or feel the lashes after a couple of days.
How do I take care of my lashes after the treatment?
After each application, a lash brush will be supplied. This can be used to brush out your lashes once they have slightly shifted or are not blending in with the natural curl of your lashes. Do not use any oil based makeup remover as that will remove your lashes! And make sure to be very gentle when washing your face and try not to rub your eyes!
